I always do "traditional" brisket but I wanted to incorporate it into something else. I love shawarma and I almost exclusively use tri tip when I do the beef version. Then a thought of substituting tri tip with brisket had be salivating so I put my plan into motion
Grabbed the last prime brisket at Sam's
Not too bad for having no selection choce
Separated the flat for the shawarma
The point is being held for some brisket burgers
Made my dry rub mix then whisked in some oil
Slathered it all over the brisket and into the fridge overnight
Next morning on the Yoder
While the Yoder was doing its thing I worked on my dough for some fresh baked pita bread
Brought out the Blackstone to bake some pita bread
Blackstone doing what it does beautifully
This was what I was aiming for :clap2:
Homerun
Brisket rested and sliced
Pita Pocket Brisket Shawarma Sammich making time with....brisket
Tomatoes, red onions, parsley, pickles, pickled jalapenos, tahini sauce, red pepper sauce. Dang good!!
A lot of work but so worth it. Thanks for looking!
