I guess I take too much for granted. We don't pay anything for electricity as everything is donated.

I agree with Jorge,require a 1K deposit and that may be the breaking point for some organizers, and really if sponsors pull out how is that really the organizers fault.I think if you look around BBQ comps may be on the decline in some areas,or maybe all over with the price of meat,entry fee,gas,etc.makes it hard to do these anymore for lots of teams.

Well crap, guess I'm going the family reunion after all..........its in Emmitsburg, just down the road......

Not real upset about this one dying, last year was a goat fark, and we still haven't gotten all the bases for the cement trophies from the first year...

I count 7 cancellations this year....
