I've been looking at ideas for an island to build or buy. Thanks for the idea through pictures.

Here's a slideshow with 44 pictures about the demolition and construction of my kitchen and livingroom.
The kitchen island construction, albeit a bit unorthodox, was custom made based on our needs. The biggest of which was large surface area, lots of storage area underneath, and the ability to house a 50" plasma for the living room viewers.
