Or, MBFGGGB :becky:

My wife and I have a little game that we play daily. She comes up with ideas for dinner an I figure out how to make them :-D It makes dinner time more like a cooking show

For yesterday's dinner she couldn't decide between home made gyros or burgers, so I made both!

For the gyros burgers I used some of our home ground pork (she won't eat lamb) and added home made gyros seasoning...

2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried parsley
large pinch of (black) pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon paprika powder
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon ground chili
1 teaspoon salt

and some minced onion and fresh garlic.

Once mixed I made three balls that ended up about 6 ounces each and tossed them on my Camp Chef griddle...

After they cooked for a couple of minutes I shashed them into patties (not as thin as a smashburger)...

After a few minutes more I flipped them...

I gave them a few minutes to cook through and then added feta cheese and domes them to get the cheese to start melting...

Priot to cooking the burgers I made a home made Tzatziki sauce to have with the burgers. I started with garlic :-D

and grated that into some grated cucumber...

I added lemon juice, dill, fresh mint, salt and pepper and mixed all of that into some greek yogurt and let it all chill for a while.

Once the burgers were done I had mine on a bun made from a mix of almond and pecan flour...

1 1/2 T Butter, melted
1 Egg
3 T total nut flour
1/2 t baking powder

Whisk the butter and egg thoroughly, add in the nut flour and baking powder and whisk again. Pour into a bun-shaped microwave safe container and microwave for 60 seconds. Slice in half horizontally and grill on all sides.

I used a mix of alsmod and pecan flour.

I added some Spring Mix lettuce, the burger, some sliced Roma tomatoes and sweet onions, and then the Tzatziki sauce, and a couple of deli salads on the side.

Amen, Capt Ron!

Love the different format than traditional gyros... why not!?

You folks ate well!

Outstanding in every way, Ron. :thumb:

Certainly the finest MBFGGGB I've ever seen here! :becky:
