Those look mitee Tastee to me!!!
Tell us a little more about that homemade blackberry sauce please.

It’s basically semi homemade lol.
In a blender goes:
  • 1 cup vinegar based BBq sauce (I used whatever Carolina sauce was in the fridge. Just check the ingredient list and see vinegar towards the top)
  • 2 cups of Smokey BBq sauce (I used sweet baby ray)
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup Apple juice
  • 18 oz jar of blackberry preserves (seedless!!!)
Blend until completely smooth then pour into a pot over low heat until loose. Don’t let it boil or it will thicken. I put it on (Heated) chicken skin after skin has browned well. Let it tack up (about 10 minutes at 300 or so) I like a thin sheen so when it melts I pull it. Serve with warmed sauce on the side for dunking if you like.
You can swap out whatever sauces you like like a pepper hot BBq sauce I think the key is always including the vinegar based. You can swap out the preserves too. Blueberry, red current would be good. Whatever you like with chicken.

Hope that helps.
