Had a few people over for a very relaxed gathering in my old shop during deer season. We did this the last couple of years, they are starting to expect this every year.
It was a lot of fun.
Set up the double burner, heated onions and peppers first in a bit of oil, then added beef cheek meat that I had prepared in advance.
heated tortillas...this was self serve style..
seasoned the shrimp with Brethren Wickedcajun's PookieG Dayum. It was a big hit!
Used some of the beef cheek meat for a pie.
Started with shredded tatoes..
filled with the meat, onions, peppers, smoked cheese and seasoned with Pookie G and Big Poppa's Jalapeno rubs..
a bacon lattice and into the BPS drum til hot and bubbly...
drizzled with some Thomas Q sauce...
I make these pies a lot with leftover pulled pork but liked the beef cheek meat for a change.
Sorry for so many pics but thanks for looking!
