Yes absolutely, Thermapens are definitely worth the money.
I look at it like this: If I had food poisoning, would I pay $100 to get rid of it? Hell yes, so spending $100 to prevent it is a no brainer. You can make sure you are not under cooking anything, not to mention overcooking.
We've used other thermometers and they either aren't that accurate or they break. In addition, I'd much rather get a near immediate reading than having to hold my hand/arm over a very hot fire for 6-9 seconds every time I want to check if something is done.
Thermapens are the best and definitely well worth it.
