So basically fried chicken as normal - minus the frying but Plus a normal indirect 400 degree cook for 45 min or so? Also was there a lot of mess from batter drip page or no? I gotta try this.
Well with thighs anyways more like 25-30min, no more mess than cooking regular chicken parts.

Yep, I'd say mine were somewhere around 30 minutes. No real mess, maybe a couple extra drips of batter.
Getting ready to pull some thighs off the kettle in a few minutes Andy, day late and a dollar short for the Hot Chicken Throwdown.
 
I looked in the fridge yesterday and saw the package of thighs I bought last week. Forgot all about them. Figured I may as well cook them up.
