Over the years I've had many people tell me their secret rib recipe when they find out I like to Q. I've heard every variation of boiled, braised, baked and everything in between. I try to not be judgmental and to remember we all start somewhere and maybe give some guidance.

I only laugh at the blow hards that tell me I don't know what I'm doing and that if the rack doesn't fall apart when you try to take one, it's not done or as good as Tony Roma's.

Sad but true, mac daddy.

I get them on wonda bread rolls at Mack Donalds

No kidding. Why would anyone want to "prepare" their own ribs -- spend hours boiling them, baking... whatever -- when the best ribs you can get are available at your local McDonald's for at least two months out of the year. Besides, ribs are a "sometimes" food. You shouldn't eat them but once every blue moon.

I boil these too.

Some of you guys are bad!

Seriously, some variant of 3-1-1, Oak or mesquite. Commercial spice. Spicy/sweet sauce.

Hmmm I would think the results of posting this kind of pole on this site would be obvious.

Boiled meat.....eww.
