That time of year again. Tomatoes are ripening fast and furious and you can only eat so many tomato sandwiches. Since the campfire ban was lifted on Friday and we were planning dinner over the fire on Saturday, I took advantage and fire-roasted some tomatoes and a head of garlic from the garden.
After this, I cut the stem end off, squeezed the garlic out and blended it into a sauce, and put it in the freezer. Can't wait to make pasta for this sauce. The smell was amazing.
