Comfort Food- Soups-Stews-Chili

When I was growing up I loved when we had soups-stews and chili. And looking back that was fairly often. When we had S-S-c we each had our own sleeve of crackers. Family of six one income. If we had Cokes you only got half, steaks there were three divided amongst us. Lots of hamburgers and burger meals.
But an individual sleeve of crackers- that was special.

MSU Green Chile Stew (aka Leftovers)

Smoked Brisket
Smoked Pork
Chicken Stock
Tomatillos Salsa
Chopped green chile
Rosa’s hot sauce
Oakridge Texas Red Chili Seasoning
Goya Adobos Seasoning
Leftover Santa Fe Veggie Mix
Leftover carrots

Let simmer a couple hours.

Sounds like my experience growing up too, family of 6, one income. Had to stretch the food Budget in creative ways but it always worked out good.
