Oh no don't tell me this lol...Mine should be here today!!
My wife bought it for me as a 12 year anniversary present ! I don't want to have to explain it to her why it don't work !!

I haven't had any issues with my 732. I would be interested in purchasing some extra probes, either as a spare, or to be able to use two meat temp probes together.

Groundhogg66, I'm offended at your comments.

You buy a $60 item that is defective, the manufacturer offers to replace it. They will pay shipping for you to return it, but this is too much trouble for you? This is not a Maverick problem, this is your problem.

Most people when they buy something no matter what it cost they expect it to work . It funny that some people on here thinks these companies care about them.

Yes, anyone or any company can have an issue. If rectified, we move on.

And yet people still buy and recommend remote digital Mav. thermo’s. Seems they solved 2 out of the 3 complaints and fell short on the water proof probes.

Ya get what ya pay for and for $40 more you get a thermapen.

Cheers

Hate to bust your bubble but you are talking about two different animals. I have both. Sorry but cannot find a wireless remote thermapen.

This thread was never intended to flame company's or other members...
It's purpose was to help me make a educated well informed purchase...
I'll report back with my results after I have a few cooks with this product...
Thx...

My ET73s have worked fine (unless left in the smoker by someone wanting to take look at the meat while the cooks stepped away!) for me.

The only issue I have is if there are multiple ET73s together then they have issues syncing. Anyone have this issue or a resolution????

I have the older 73 unit and it has worked great, but twice the food probe has gone out. It usually starts telling me the temp is rising on the meat way before it should. Both times I have called mavericks and they have sent me a new probe. In the meantime I just use an analog thermomter. I'm building a UDS for my buddy who wants to start smoking and I've recommended the new unit. For $60 you can't really go wrong. If they want the probe back, just ask them to ship a new one first. They have been totally accommodating with me.

I'm guessing the issue is from washing the probe. Water probably gets in the sleeve and then causes the temp to record improperly. That's just a guess though.

I've never had problems with range, but my room is kinda close to the grill and we only have a 1 story house. I can set my pre-sets, then go to sleep without having to wake up every 4 hrs. to add coals and what not. It's worth the money in the sleep you'll save.

I burnt out both probes during a "damn smoker caught on fire" grease incident. finally got around to tracking down new probes and I must have sheetcanned the transmitter or something so I was stuck with a reciever and 2 new probes. told my story to maverick and they sent me a new transmitter free. thats pretty damn good service if you ask me
