This is the basic Idea of the ale meat pie ----> https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/252607/proper-beef-ale-and-mushroom-pie

But as you can tell I took the smokey forest Fire Rout!

Where they are braising the meat I am smoking it and the veggies if you want more smoke flavor.

I shred and defat the chuck roast... Put all the diced veg into a pan
any juice from wrapping the CR goes in with veggie and 1 - 2 beer and beef broth...
1-2 cloves garlic
Salt Pepper
Fresh Thyme sprigs
Fresh Rosemary sprig
2 Tbls worcestershire sauce

cook 1/2 hr-ish (taste and re-season)

I then after 1/2 hr put shred CR in and simmer till tender... (taste!!!!)
take out stems from thyme and rosemary

I add either a flour or corn starch slurry to thicken

Let this cool off burner

roll pie dough rounds (no blind bake)
oil pie dish
and assemble and egg wash top

375F for 45 min until golden
