I'd picked up a corned beef flat with the idea of turning it into burgers or cased sausage.

I ground it this morning.
Looks a lot like pork.
Lots of fat for a flat. Should be good!

Pattied up up, down on some melted butter on the griddle.
Let it go a while, flipped and Swissed it.
Toasted some rye bread.

Dressed with some home made slaw, hence the Rachael, and some Famous Dave's Devil Spit pickles.

They were pretty fantastic.

The next go round will be on the Weber.
Just too cold, wet and windy today!

I guess I should have let you know we were getting here a day early! We coulda helped out with two of those :razz:

I thought Rachael’s were done with Turkey as the meat

Thanks for keeping me honest!
I thought the slaw vs kraut was the difference, but I stand corrected.
I did see one reference where pastrami, instead of turkey, was used in a Rachel.

I just had a leftover one for supper.
Whatever it is, it was still good!
