To the seasoned vets out there,

I read in the last mail from the organizers that Ulster county has a no smoking law on public land. Since this is my first comp I do not want to cause the organizers or myself any issue but look at my handle for crying out loud. Not being able to have a cigar while watching my drum temps for hours is going to be a problem. Since you can't put a cigar into a red plastic cup I am at a loss here. Anyone experience this before. Is it ok late at night when the general public is not there? Thanks.

Go for it. I'll join you. We can claim we are "smoking tongue" for the comp.

I quit coffin nails 15 years ago and don't miss it but I do like a nice cigar once in a while.

While I like the restaurant ban, am half-n-half on bars, but public places like beaches and parks is TOTALLY RIDICULOUS. The liberals have gone overboard.

I'm pretty sure that all has to do with litter. Just a way of keeping cigarette butts off the grass. I'm sure you'll know if its a bad time but as Vinny said I didn't see an enforcement last year.

I am gonna be a rebel and risk it. Would be fun to get locked up for that. "hey buddy whatcha in for?" "Smoking"

Andy, you better check your probation terms, there is a school within 300 feet of the fairgrounds ... Cigars are fine, we have been enjoying them for the last five years, just dispose of the butts
