How To Lite a Charcoal Chimney (video)

I use lighter fluid. Squirt some on top, light it and come back 20-30 minutes later and it's ready. Also no smoke.

I used the Chimney with newpaper in the bottom, than I bought as LooftLighter. Tried the LooftLighter on numerous occasions. Gave the LooftLighter away, and went back to the Chimney with newpaper in the bottom. Takes about 30 minutes, the chimney is lit with red hot coals, I then dump it into the middle of the pit, with an empty coffee can, pull the coffee can, and give the pit time to stabilize. Works for me. :thumb:

I do the 2 sheets of newspaper and put a little used cooking oil on the papers on windy days
