Cooking to the music of cicadas, brood XIX appearing every 13 years in north Alabama.
They are about 300 yards away in the woods behind the barn.
Video is about 20 seconds.


Brisket cooked on Santa Maria grill at about 250 F. Rotated and flipped every 30 min. Wrapped in foil when probe tender and held in oven's warmer drawer.
Turned out very good - juicy with nice bark.

we haven't seen a single cicada ~2hrs away in Marion county. brisket looks sweet though!!!
