I received my review copy of Adam Perry Lang's new book BBQ 25 today.
I have flipped through it and I can tell you that I believe it will
revolutionize cookbooks. As I said in my review last year, I absolutely
loved his Serious Barbecue. Well, this book is another serious homerun,
but over the fence in the opposite field.

Look for a review on my blog very soon.

I've had it pre-ordered on Amazon for some time. It's supposed to arrive May 13th.

Another one I have on pre-order is "Meat: A Kitchen Education" by James Peterson.

Does it add anything to Serious BBQ? From the amazon description I thought it was just excerpts from the first book.

If not, I need to order it immediately!

Yes and no. Imagine 25 of the most essential recipes from Serious Barbecue in a very succinct, usable and brain-dead easy format. Each recipe is 10 steps or less and features APL's signature "3D flavor" techniques.

To me it's an absolute must-have; especially at $14 through Amazon.

I hope this helps,
John
