Mista, I was just cheking flights, and they are ranging from 261 outta LAX. Considering how close to the 4th of july weekend that will be, will need to get tickets early.

Last weekend in June for Mecca Bash here on Long Island. I have a feeling it may be a big one this year. :biggrin:

Phil, just to be sure, are we looking at the weekend of June 23rd-25th, or June 30th-July 2nd? Also, are these dates pretty much set in stone? I am going to go ahead and make plans to attend, but I still have to figure out transportation. I would like to make a road trip out of it, but it wouldn't be much fun alone. However, you can bring a lot of fun things in a car that you can't bring on a plane!:twisted: If you want, PM me with any requests from us Southerners, or we should be able to pick up some roadkill on the way.

Figured I'd check the calendar in an attempt to not make myself look too stupid, and I noticed that BRD will be 97 this year. He must just look younger sitting on his stool:shock: !

as of now, its 23-25, but arlie brag may be having a competition in here that weekend, with a $100,000 purse. So We may push the bash to june 30. So, the set in stone part is it IS one of those weekends. Next question would be is that considered a 4th of july weekend to the airlines where they blackout and pump the prices. if so, then we can make it the weekend before the 23-25.

how about MOAB...MOTHER OF ALL BASHES July 4th weekend. What a blowout that would be. Like a 5 day bash. Holy crap!!! I think it's a once in a lifetime thing. Lets set that date so people can lock in tickets. "Hello Newsday? Come on over with a camera"

4th of july would be bad for me, being able to get away from the family for a weekend is one thing, but to do it on a holiday is next to impossible, if I want peace and quiet in my life.

agree with that... to many families would be left behind. For me, June 27 is my wedding anniversary. So its tricky enuf taking my wedding anniversary weekend every year to do this, but to top it off with the 4th would be a killer.

this is definately a show of growth to our little world on the net.. :mrgreen: bash talk usually starts in February.. its only November!!! we cant even book flights this far ahead, so we have a month or 2.

So june 29 to july 2 is definately out becase of the holiday.

June 23-25 is tentativly set awaiting word from Arlie if that big $$ competition is gonna go. he was in CT a couple weeks ago talking to the casino where it will be held. We should now soon, he may even chime in here.

June 16-18 is the Fallback date if 6/23 falls thru.
