They went on the smoker when I cooked the chuckies, and looked like this...

Here are the beans....overnight soak, then simmer today with a few hatch peppers, salt, the neck bones and garlic.

Make them! They are labor intensive, but they are delicious and freeze well. Just wait till everything is plated up!

Man, if i had seen this earlier, I would have volunteered to come up there and help out. Need tamales.

I deeply regret not trying tamales when I was over there!

We don't get corn wrappers here or I would So make them.
That looks so brilliant, I bet you are glad you hit the Mexican markets recently:wink:
