Hi Ron and all. I'll be there with Neo Trout and we will have some fatties for breakfast and wings for snacking along with pizza's. Also if needed the 22WSM will have some room along with the OTG. We should be there around 8am. Under a tent with a Brethern flag flying (Steve said it was shipped so have to be showing colors!)

If you have room for the WSM, toss it in just in case.

I'm pretty sure that there is a shelter at the forest preserve, so you shouldn't need a tent unless you want it.

We (myself, Bbq n Brew and eddie6) will be there by 8AM.

Ron, I think it may say on the permit that the permit holder has to be there at a certain time to have the ranger sign off on it or something.

Also you are correct that there is no electricity at the forest preserve.

I just printed the permit and I didn't see anything about that, but when I bought the permit I set the start time as 7AM, so I guess I better get there by then.

It sounds like an afternoon nap is in order :-D

Were driving up Sat. night, so we don't have to get up with the chickens. Going to stay in Bollingbrook, is there any Q places around the area that's good. Otherwise its girodanos pizza ( I'm sure I messed up the spelling). Also do we need to bring lawnchairs.

Chairs wouldn't hurt. There are probably picnic tables, but those aren't always comfortable.

As far as BBQ, I'm not sure what is closest, but these two are good...

They are hot, but after a nice smoke they about as hot as a fresh jalapeño and the heat don't last long.

I am planning on getting there around 7-7:30 in case I need to for the ranger.

With Stoke&Smoke not coming that leaves us without slaw and his Alabama caviar. Is there anyone who doesn't know what to bring that can make or grab some slaw?
