Poor fish...

Last Friday I wanted to grill some tilapias when Maribel comes home and said did you buy enough oil? Again my plans changed. Took out our cast iron disc and fried some tilapias.

Seasoned with garlic salt and a local seafood seasoning.

This is a family favorite for sure and to be honest it was my best so far.

Here's a few pics of our cook.

That looks great! Tilapia around here comes in fillets that only vaguely remind you that it came from an actual fish.

About 10 minutes or so. Depends on how hot and big the fish is.

Wow! That plate reminds me of my grandfather. We would go to a restaurant in Juarez and he would order the black bass....fried up, just like that. Brought back some memories for sure! Red snapper is good that way too.
