Nice of you to join us Jax.
Can't help you on locating a Bandera. Unless your dead set on an offset or a stick burner, may I suggest you check out the WSM for your first pit?
Welcome to the best clubhouse on the web!

WSMs seem to be a great way to go, but the bullet style is a hassle for me. Working on the brinkman I get tired of taking off the top layer to get the to the tasty stuff underneath.

Welcome to our little corner of the world.

Not sure where to purchase a Bandera. Have not seen one around my neck of the woods, except my backyard.

Whatever you do, don't season your new pit with SPAM like some people around here do.

I learned the pam lesson a while back with my cast Iron pans. The rubbery goo left behind is nasty. (makes you wonder if it's good to eat at all...blech) I figure I'll cure the new smoker with shortening.
