Asparagus is my favorite veggie. I cook them pretty much like most of the above. Snap 1 to find the tender spot and cut the rest of the bunch at that point. Drizzle with olive oil, toss to coat then season with Kosher salt (the big chunks of salt make for a cool presentation) and black pepper. The toothpick raft mentioned by Wayne (MoKanMeathead) makes it easier to handle. Grill for 4 to five minutes, just long enough for them to start showing color.
