Took mine off when it hit 120 internal and let it rest while I got the sides ready.

I went to take a picture right before carving and the batteries in the camera had died.

But it was very good - the family loved it, and I have substantial leftovers!

That looks great Todd, I think I want more butter on my taters! LOL! I hope mine looks that good...

Sorry guys no pics, but my son bought a 14lb ribroast and my SIL cooked it pretty much following Poobahs' recipe and it turned out fantastic. While I'm not a prime rib person, I tried one of the ends and it was great. My sil and I also deep fried a 12lb turkey breast. Very juicy. I know what all the fuss is about now.

I did one this afternoon in the new cooker and my mom did one in the oven. Mine was better but it would have been better still if she had let me do my seasoning. She has seen the error of her ways.

All right, here is my prime rib that we fixed, Merry Christmas all!

Good stuff...slow cooked at 190F.

Paul, that looks PHENOMENAL!!!

Can you share what temp you took it off at, and how long it rested? Any more details appreciated. Man, that's the best looking roast I've ever seen.

Actually drooling here.

I cooked one yesterday for the first time as well. Cooked it indirect on the weber kettle - came out great. Thanks to everyone for the great ideas on cooking. Ray - I used a modified version of your herb rub, I think iot was from your first book.

No Pics.

great looking eats everyone i am green with envy putting it on the list for next year of coarse will have to practice a couple of times before the big event

My Brother in Law cooked this. It was a little over cooked for my taste but not to the point of being ruined. I love a good prime rib.
