Guru intake on BW clone

Will be welding up the air inlet on my smoker build and am looking for advice on where to place the air inlet relative to the coal basket. I am thinking below the bottom of the coal basket in the rear of the cabinet . Any thoughts or opinions would be great

Im partial to the side. that way you can always lay it on its back and slide it into a pickup. if you put it on the front door, you get sauce all over your fan
