Had a few people over for a very relaxed gathering in my old shop during deer season. We did this the last couple of years, they are starting to expect this every year.
It was a lot of fun. :grin:

Set up the double burner, heated onions and peppers first in a bit of oil, then added beef cheek meat that I had prepared in advance.

I make these pies a lot with leftover pulled pork but liked the beef cheek meat for a change.

Sorry for so many pics but thanks for looking!

You had me at tacos...!

I've been wanting to try beef cheek meat, Jeanie. How long does it take to cook?

Thank you Adam and Griffin Scott! :grin:

Moose, thanks! I simmer the meat until it's falling apart tender (about 8 to 10 hours). Then I cool it, separate the meat from the fat and bag it for the freezer until I need it. It's really handy to have around and SO quick to fix for a party. I simmer the meat in beef stock, onions, garlic, and seasoned salt. Then I re-season if needed when heating for tacos. :becky:

"Mine"- love it. Great cook:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap:

Thanks Adams! My "Mine" has been through a lot. lol I need a new one but just can't seem to part with it. :biggrin1:

Thanks so much Bob and Buckie!!

That's amazing Jeanie! Quite the coincidence because just today I was thinking what to do with the beef cheeks in the freezer. I know now.:-D
