We call it "Hemelvaartsdag".

Yesterday I bought some Jodenhaas,Jewish Fillet (or Terrace Major).
Seared them Ugly Drum Grill Mod and Phinished them UDS Smoke Style.
I also Phound a lost rib and Boerewors in the Phreezer.
I made some Sweet n Spicy Hot Sauce out of the smoked jalapenos Phrom last week,I added some smoked peppers Phrom Smokey Al (Holland).

Is Joden Haas the same as filet mignon?


Don't know but this is what I translated:

"The Jodenhaas is the most tender piece of meat/muscle out of the shoulder,it's located on top of the shoulderblade."

Filet mignon is part of the tenderloin?

The 'joden-haas' is a cut of meat between the two shoulder blades.
It is very similiar to tenderloin I think.

The great advantage is the price! Its 25% of the price of good tenderloin.
