So I'm resurrecting my old tread. I need some help. I've used rutlands several times to glue my fire box together and it still fails. After about 5 cooks it cracks in the same spot again. I'm trying to get a new fire box but don't know of one that will fit. I am thinking that a kamado joe classic II will fit because the great is about the same size. Mine has a 17.5 grate and the fire box is about 15.5 at the top. Does anyone know the size of the kamado joe fire box?

I can't help you with the firebox question but, I have had very good results repairing cracked or broken Kamado parts with J B Weld.
