ok im gonna go out on a limb here concerning the pit barrel cooker and the uds , the pbc is so simple why can't you do the same thing with a 55 gal drum that they are doing with a 30 gal ?, one is just bigger could you just make everything bigger on the 55 ? just something I been thinking about

You can... i have as with the 30 gallon size.

The reason the maker went with the 30 gallon is because he felt you get a better flavor with a smaller cooking chamber. But to answer your question YES you can.

Probably went with the 30 because he can get it shipped at a fair price- try shipping a 55
