Brunswick stew, that's what!
I had some leftover pulled pork and brisket point in the freezer that I have been meaning to put into a pot of Brunswick stew, and decided today was the day.
I really wasn't up to chopping all of those veggies, so a quick look through the freezer at Publix and I found a gumbo mix that had everything I wanted, so two bags would work.
While everything sauteed, I chopped up the brisket and pork to a finer state, added it to the pot with bbq sauce, fire roasted diced tomatoes, sliced potatoes, salt, pepper, etc., and let it simmer for a while.
It really turned out good. I like a little extra black pepper, so I added it to my bowl with some saltines. Suddenly, the day didn't seem so cold and dismal.
Thanks for looking.

That looks amazing Ron! I've never actually had that before either. From the looks of your bowl though, that is definitely something that needs to change

Oh, yes. It's been a long while since I had Bruswick Stew!

That looks about perfect to warm your bones on a cold, wet day.

Looks like you figured out the perfect dish of the day. I have never had before but, things aren't going to stay that way now.

Ron, If there is one thing I absolutely LOVE it is Good Old Fashioned Brunswick Stew!!!
And, That my Brother looks amazing!!!:first::hail:
When I lived in Savannah, that was my food of choice.
Have some in the freezer from a recipe I got from the book "Southern Smoke", I guess we know what I am having tomorrow after your inspiration, and a coming cold front!!
