Weber Summit Kamado owners - desperately need your help!

I’m buying a slightly used Weber Summit Kamado, and will like need to take the lid off to fit it in my ride. Originally owner doesn’t have the safety bolts and wingtips for the hinge assembly. I need that bolt to safely remove lid.

Could any of you Summit Kamado owners possibly measure the diameter of the hole and length of the channel it goes in (or even the diameter and length of the bolt if you still have it). Don’t want to injure myself with a high tension spring!

GREATLY appreciate any help!!!

Yeah, I guess that’s a possibility. Don’t want to risk scratching the porcelain enamel or having it come loose during the drive back, but food for thought.

It’s home! Slid into my SUV like a glove. No disassembly needed. I’m HAPPY!

Congrats! Please post review, temp control, QC, etc., also cooks and your impressions. Thanks. I have a new one, but know little about them. It replaced a Primo XL.
