Does anyone know what year they stopped putting wood handles on the WGA? I saw where a person was selling 2 of them new in box. $50 for one and $55 for one that has Johnsonville on it. Both have the wood handles. What do you think?

My guess on the handles is about the late 90's. Look at the date code on the vents. It will be two letters and tell you the year of manufacture. Use this as a decoder.

As for price it really depends. If they are a color they are worth a bit more than black. You can get a new one for $49 shipped free from Amazon. Use that as a bargaining tool. If you plan to cook on them then the age and wood handles really don't make a difference. Offer $70 for both.

those prices are lower than what they cost new now. I got two new unused wood handled ones through cl for $35 each. so how bad do you want them ?
