Broke in the new grill tonight with some tomahawk steaks from Wild Fork Foods.

Seasoned steaks with with Q-Salt

Then grilled them over a live fire on the new Shirley Fabrication Santa Maria/Fire Pit.

When they were done, I sliced them on top of a garlic-herb board sauce with fresh herbs (and a Meyer Lemon) from the Naturiffic greenhouse.

What a great way to break in the new piece of kit!

Love that last shot with all the herbs and lemon slices and whatnot... I'm sure it was outstanding!

There’s just something special about the flavor of a Steak grilled on a Santa Maria Pit over Hardwood. LOVE the flavor!
 
Touch them all, because that is a home run! You even get style points for the cutting board shot! I have no doubt that this is just the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
