After great success with Malcom Reed’s smoked pork & beans, I decided to give some chili the treatment. Made it with some pulled pork I smoked a week ago.

It was awesome! Lovely clean smokiness on top of a chili recipe that I have made many times. Very rich flavor. I will definitely make it again and look forward to leftovers.

My helper approves, though he got a healthier snack for managing to chill long enough for me to finish my lunch.

I love Malcolm Reed's recipes. This looks excellent and I have never considered doing chili with pulled pork. Was it sauced? How does it compare to chili with beef? Also, is your helper a Shih Tzu? Got one myself and he happens to love some chili!

No sauce in there, just the normal spices (cumin, cayenne, salt, pepper, and oregano). When I make chili with pork, it’s usually with saved spare rib trimmings (I always cut ‘em St. Louis), but this is the first time with pulled pork. I plan to try smoking it with beef one of these times.

My little friend is a Lhasa Apso mix, according to the shelter where we adopted him - we keep his fur trimmed fairly short, or it would grow until it sweeps the floor. He doesn’t get anything cooked with garlic or onion, but he definitely wanted some!

I love using left over pulled pork for those kinds of dishes.Your's looks really Tastee.Tip- when using pulled pork, chop It finely so it is not "stringy" in the final dish. :thumb:
