Rubbed with Killer Hogs Hot Rub, used B&B Oak Lump and a couple chunks of Pecan for smoke.

Threw some DD Ranch sausage on the drum just before dinner while the picnic was resting, plated with Mac n Cheese and Mexican slaw.

Titch,

Picnic is a part of the shoulder but it is located down the front leg towards the hoof. Click on the link below and the diagrahm shows "ARM shoulder". That is where the picnic comes from. Above that is "BLADE shoulder" and that is the butt.

Hope this helps.

Thanks mate

I see the skin is still on. Does it crispy enough to get chopped back in with the meat?
The bottom of the picnic does on the drum, not so much when I use the pellet grill, cooking at a much higher temp on the drum, I don't use other than snapping a couple pieces off for a couple of bites.

That looks really good, Picnic is a Butt?
Picnic would be a ham Titch if you cured it.
