So I've done a couple of briskets on my LSG IVC. Now I want to try my first brisket on my new Assassin 48 grill/smoker.

Who has done this before? I'm thinking I would want to put the brisket over by the smoke stack side which would be on top of the v-pan shielding it from direct heat. Is that correct?

Thanks guys for any assistance.

I always did mine above the solid part of the v-pan and not the ends with the slots and have come out great .

Thank you. That's what I was thinking.

I'm going to run the 2" square steel tube down the middle of the charcoal tray like in your vid to do the long charcoal snake.
