After YEARS of trying to decide what pit to buy, I went with the most practical choice given need, reputation, and budget. I have officially ordered a Gateway Drum Smoker!

...now, I'm off to tell The Wife (better to beg for forgiveness than ask for permission).

Very nice! Post it when it comes- I'm really interested in this drum. It seems like temp control would be easier than a standard UDS design.
