For those of you that use pink salt, where do you get it?

I've checked at several grocery stores, and then finally was able to get some at a local butcher shop that also smokes meats. They don't sell it, they were nice enough to give me some.

I got mine from Amazon

Bolner's Fiesta spices in San Antonio sells it at their online store too. You could add a few of their other items to make the shipping worthwhile. I really like their Uncle Chris' Gourmet steak seasoning, and their pork, chicken and rib rubs are all very good.

It's a blend of sodium nitrite and salt. The nitrite is a powerful antimicrobial agent that prevents the growth of the botulism bacteria, amongst many other things. It also preserves that pink colour you find in cured meats and alters the taste slightly

i can get it from my local grocery store. Fro m a fine grind to rocks the size of dimes. Dont see whats so great about it
