After the eclipse the kids went horseback riding with a Navajo guide. They rode to formations that are about mile from the highway on the guides land. They rode to the base of Eagle Mesa (left) and Sitting Hen (center) Sleeping Bear is right but much smaller. They said the size of them that close is impossible to describe.
After that we drove to Goosnecks State Park which is a sight to see as well, it is not caused by erosion but plate uplift Look closely at the center of the pic on the horizon, that is Monument Valley, and we’re about 35 miles away!

After we left Goosenecks everyone decided they wanted to go up the Moki Dugway!

We’re about halfway up, yes that is a Sprinter above us!
Almost to the top here, that is Valley of the Gods below.
Oh and the night sky Bob? It is spectacular!
The core of the Milky Way is about gone for the year but still stunning nonetheless! That pic is one out camping neighbor took with a 10 second exposure, however you can clearly see it with the naked eye! The cool thing to do is stare at the campfire for a minute then lean your head back and watch as your eyes adjust. Stars start appearing everywhere!
Thanks for riding along, hope everyone enjoyed!
