Old country rust flaking in firebox.

My neighbor has one for sale for 100 bucks. There is some rust flaking in the fire box but it’s still solid. Firebox door is stuck and prob needs oil. Is this worth it? If I clean it out and ready season it will it last a while?

The door was taken off. There is some rust up against the opening we’re the door was. Other than that it’s solid. Cleaned it out and reseaaoning it. Got for even less than 100.

I believe it’s a pecos? With the door wide open. Errr no door. Lol. It’s been sitting at 300 for an hour without adding wood.
