Names for your Smoker?

My wife a few weeks ago told some friends (you know most men look at porn on the computer...my husband lust after smokers".

Last weekend she was recouping from a knee replacement and someone called to check on her, then they asked how I was holding up....she said " he's FINE....he's outside probably HUMPING his new Jambo"!!! :becky:

My WSM is named fat boy after one of the bombs dropped on Japan in WWII. It's a 18 with a stacker on it so she stands over 4 feet tall. And with all the thermometer probes and weirs running out of it she looks like a atom bomb.
I normally have 3 more probes running out of her too.

I once got a very stern "Bite Me" for jokingly suggesting that naming your grills and smokers was a bit silly. Soooo, I won't do THAT again.

But, none of my gear is named.

I did name my camper CaseyCraft, but I built it.

I would probably name a homemade smoker either something like Zmoker (my last name begins with a Z -- I've had two Ziatas and two ZeaDoos), or something like CaseySmoke -- although that doesn't really appeal to me.

My daughter is getting married in October, and moving 1000 miles away. Two weeks ago, when I was on my way to make my best Craigslist purchase ever - a lovely Weber Ranch Kettle - I told her that I was buying it so I would have something new to keep me company, as she is leaving. She called later and asked "so, did you buy my replacement"? I have never named my other cookers, but this one is now "Big Val". Yeah, she'll love it, I'm sure :laugh:
