Well, I asked some of you for side suggestions a few days ago for a pig I was cooking. Well We had a great time and here are some pics from the weekend! This was my first time doing a whole pig, heck it was my first pig roast period so that was a lot of fun!

The Black/Orange smoker is a homemade cooker my father and I made.

My father Jimmy is the guy sitting to the right of the smoker at night. And I'm the big guy in the black T-shirt with my girlfriend next to the smoker during the day.

The blues hog bbq beans were amazing! I can't believe how tasty they were. They were a huge hit at the party!

What a feast!

You've set a pretty high bar for my next cookout.:-D

:clap2:Looks like a GREAT time and GREAT food too! Thanks for sharing. I'd be hitting all that crispy pig skin with a beer in my hand.

It was an absolute blast! My father and I love to cook and we're always trying stuff. The smoker has been a breeze to use, it isn't as efficient as a UDS but it just seems to maintain good smoking temps with no fiddling.

We're definitely going to do some Qing again this summer, so we'll be sure to make a post and maybe some of you brethren might wanna come down to Farmington CT to do some camping, fishing, and smokin!

BTW If you haven't done those hog apple beans, you really gotta give em a try!
