I have been working on this for over a year and am ready to announce this new relationship.
The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund is a local organization that raises monies for recently discharged veterans to assist them during the gap that exists while they are waiting for the feds to begin their benefits. Some of these vets have to wait up to 2 years to get financial assistance. They also provide other financial assistance to our discharged troops.
Our inaugural event with them is in November
The Michigan Warriors hockey Program, which is comprised of disabled vets will be playing in a fundraiser hockey game against the Detroit Red Wings alumni team. We will be providing BBQ to the teams and their families after the game.
The game is Nov 21st at The John Lindell Arena in Royal Oak
Here is a link to the info on the game

The Warriors are proud and excited to announce the First Annual Warriors v. Red Wings Alumni Game. After careful planning and a little bit of luck, your favorite Michigan Veteran will take the ice on November 21st to square off against the Detroit Red Wings Alumni.
Doors open up at 5:15pm.
Teams will take the ice at 6:00pm.
Check out our VIP Experience tickets that include a post-game, on-ice photograph and social event afterwards with the Warriors, or to become the Honorary Coach of the game!
The Warriors will have a silent auction for items to bid on including items autographed by your favorite Red Wings, and a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds will go to benefit the Warriors' mission, "to provide Disabled Veterans the opportunity to live a healthy and active lifestyle thorugh the sport of ice hockey".
