I have an elite that I use for grilling and smoking. It works great for both. I've found the brand of pellets used influence the smoke level or flavor. Never seen a make in person but I like the elite

If you are an IT guy then buy a yoder and rebuild the controller to be WiFi with all the options and then send one to me after you figure it out!

I sent an email to Rec tec asking if I could use their controller with my yoder and they haven’t gotten back to me. I might purchase the $99 controller just to see if I can figure it out.

As mentioned, check out the Facebook owners pages for the MAK and Memphis. As indicated by numerous recent posts, the Memphis seems fraught with issues, with a couple owners even regretting their purchase. At that price point, I’d expect much more for my money.

With that said, I’m leaning towards the MAK personally, especially for the programming options.
