On the menu tonight is the grass fed London Broil I picked up from Kalon Farm, the local farm in Lancaster MA, a few miles from my home. Simply seasoned with Worcestershire, Black Pepper and Oakridge BBQ Santa Maria. Then out onto the Weber kettle with some potatoes to go with it.

Just getting started, hanging out on the indirect side of the kettle -

Almost ready -

And onto the hot side for a quick reverse sear -

Resting -

Perfect Rare/Medium Rare, quite juicy -

Plated with the Hasselback style potatoes and Smashed Turnip -

An excellent midweek dinner! I am definitely making more visits to Kalon Farm. The meat we've tried thus far has been outstanding.

Thanks for checking out tonite's dinner!

For extra credit -

While deciding what to make for dinner tonite, I also was planning on dessert (or something to go with tomorrow morning's coffee). This is from Chef John/foodwishes.com. I love his recipes and have made quite a few.

Pecan Sour Cream Coffee Cake

I didn't take any pics during the preparation and it was baked in the oven. I wasn't firing up another grill. I never would have thought of adding pecans to a coffee cake, but this turned out fantastic.

A bottom layer of cake, a layer of pecan crumbs, another layer of cake, then topped with another layer of pecan crumbs. All made according to the recipe and it beats the heck out of any previous coffee cakes I've ever made with Bisquik. And certainly is much better than my old standby from the grocery store - Entenmann's.

Unadorned -

With some powdered sugar and whipped cream -

Yep, definitely hitting the Y tomorrow!

-Dom
