Is there any diference ?

In looking at off set smokers I see that cooker chamber diameters are mostly 20 inch and 24 inches. Is there any real difference when it comes down to smoking other than maybe capacity ? What might be your preference ?

In my experience larger is easier to maintain temps in. And not once have I said, oh, I wish this cooker was a little bit smaller.

:becky: you never know. There are a bunch of builders close by and I do have all that oak.

20 inch isnt really enough space to run ribs and brisket long ways. this reduces capacity. other than that not much difference

Personally, I wouldn’t consider anything smaller than a 24” diameter.
