Hi
I'm new to the site and have already found so much useful info. I am getting started building a UDS and the discussions have been very helpful. I stumbled across the infamous UDS thread, but can't seem to get back there-- maybe someone could point the way..
This site has been an enlightenment as I am learning the huge differences between grilling and barbecuing. Here in CA, or at least where I reside, BBQ is the term used for pretty much anything cooked outside of the kitchen... Mainly grilling. Growing up we would always have "BBQed steak" or "BBQed burgers", when in fact it's actually grilling. I am looking forward to the build and more so the food that will come off. I will need to get some pointers about cooking on the UDS. I really am excited to try a brisket and some ribs. As with anything new I'm sure there will be a huge learning curve..
One question already.. What is a "fatty"?
Thanks for all the great info!
John
