I made spicy beef kebabs yesterday, but ran into a bit of a problem.
The handles of the skewers, fancy looking black plastic, are no more. They are not fire proof!!!!
Managed to rescue the kebabs though, by putting my trusted wooden handled kebab skewers perpendicular underneath the now handle-less skewers....
Luckily I have a very good bbq-glove.


Going out for dinner tonite,

A little snow won't slow us down, will it Dads?
Just had a little snack platter of braunschweiger and the 1st of the cheese I cold smoked 3 weeks ago.
First time I've smoked cheese, luckily I read about it on the forum and knew it had to mellow out before eating it.
Very happy with the results. Good thing, I did 5 pounds of it.

I've got 5# of wings getting ready to go on the kettle shortly, probably around mid point of the 500
