Future Drum smoker

Hey y'all- I found this site while researching making a UDS. I of course stumbled upon the mother-of-all-threads. Can any more be written about a drum smoker (yes).

I currently live in FL, but I am getting ready to build on some land in the upstate of SC. I've been grillin' and smokin' for many years on a Weber kettle and a Brinkman bullet, but I found a stainless steel drum yesterday, and knew it had a future.

My name is Jay, I'm 56, married, and got a son in college. I'm a tool maker by trade, so I have all the tools and know-how to build a primo UDS.
